PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discus throw training implement having high safety and enabling a training in line with a real discus throw. SOLUTION: This discus throw training implement 1 comprises a grip rod 2 made of a rigid material having a finger placing section 3 on which a user places the user's finger, cover sections 5 and 6 of a flexible bag body 4 which cover the grip rod 2, the flexible bag body 4 which is connected with both ends 2A and 2B of the grip rod 2, and sand grains 7 filled in the flexible bag body 4. Also, one end of the flexible bag body 4 is connected with one end of the grip rod 2, and the other end is connected with the other end of the grip rod 2, and thus, the flexible bag body 4 is connected with the grip rod 2 into a ring shape, and the finger placing section 3 of the grip rod 2 is arranged on the ring inner peripheral side.
