A method for making a hollow body by extruding a thermoplastic resin using an accumulator (6) comprising an accumulation space (17) between the central core and the outer housing (7), characterised in that it comprises the steps of contiguously applying said accumulator against a mould part (3) having a recess (16) by inserting an end part (15) of said central core into said recess to form a mould cavity (19a), moulding an end portion of the hollow body to be produced in said mould cavity, moving the moulded end portion away from the end opening using a movable member, and simultaneously expelling resin from said accumulation space and through the end opening around the central core to extrude a resin layer connected to the circumferential portion of the moulded end portion.
