<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vertical louver unit capable of enlarging a turning range of a vertical louver, and an air conditioner provided with the vertical louver unit. <P>SOLUTION: The vertical louver unit 20 for the air conditioner is provided with a plurality of vertical louvers 21 turnably supported on an indoor unit body, and a connecting rod 22 connecting the vertical louvers 21 to interlock the vertical louvers.
