PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera in which a photographer can visually confirm the focus position or various kinds of information being displayed on a monitor screen well without using an extra device even in case of unterwater phothography. SOLUTION: At S4, a CPU 100 determines color information corresponding to a depth calculated at S3 based on a color information table stored in an ROM 102. At S6, a display section 114 displays an object based on RGB value included in the color information determined at S4. The object being displayed based on the color information determined at S4 may be anything representing information concerning photography. For example, it includes a focus frame indicating the focus position, shutter speed or stop value, number of photographable sheets, date of photography, and various icons or characters for notification, e.g. an alarm message.
