PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum carburizing furnace in which the amount of carburizing gas to be used can be reduced, and the leakage of the carburizing gas to the outside of a heating chamber can be suppressed. SOLUTION: The heating chamber 4 in a furnace body 2 is provided with an airtight vessel 8. A material to be treated is subjected to vacuum carburizing treatment in the airtight vessel 8.
