PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester polymerization catalyst exhibiting excellent catalytic activities and providing a polyester which is excellent in color tones and thermal stability, gives a molded article excellent in transparency and, in particular, contains a few foreign matters, a polyester manufactured using the same and a manufacturing method of the polyester. SOLUTION: The polyester polymerization catalyst comprises at least one selected from the group consisting of aluminum and its compounds and at least one selected from among phosphorous compounds, and is obtained by preparing an alkylene glycol solution or a slurry of each component and compounding them.
