PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving unit maintaining high rigidity and coping with an electric-driven transmission. SOLUTION: This driving unit 15 is mounted on a frame 12 of a bicycle and is a unit capable of mounting rear wheels 16r. The driving unit 15 comprises a frame body having oscillation mounting parts 50a and 50b oscillatably mounted on the frame 12 at a front end and having first and second hub mounting parts 51a and 51b arranged to hold the rear wheels 16r at a rear end extended to be branched into two from the front end, first and second cover members 31 and 32 mounted to form first and second spaces 56 and 57 in a space with the frame body on both outside surfaces of the frame body, hub shafts 71 non-rotatably mounted on the first and second hub mounting parts 51a and 51b, hub shells 72 rotatably mounted on the hub shafts 71, a driving body 73 connected to each one end of the hub shells 72, a rear sprocket 39 non-rotatably mounted on the driving body 73, and an interior transmission hub 33 capable of changing the rotation of a crankshaft 22 of the bicycle into a plurality of stages.
