The sealing profile has a head section formed by a closed hollow cross-section with profiled spine (3) with foot section (8) to anchor the seal in the groove in the window. A sealing web (5) and connecting web (6) each have in the unloaded state of the seal seen in cross section from the outside of the seal a concave rounded path. Both webs by forming a roof-shaped projection (11) converge outwards at an obtuse angle. The connecting point between sealing web and connecting web can be as far from the profile spine as the opening point of the support web (4) into the intermediate web (7).
