<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell, in which compactness, light-weight, and free shape design are enabled, in which maintenance becomes easier by surely carrying out sealing at every unit cell, and furthermore in which oxidation and reduction gases are made not to be mutually mixed. <P>SOLUTION: This is the fuel cell provided with a plate-shaped solid polyelectrolyte 1, a cathode side electrode plate 2 arranged on one side of that solid polyelectrolyte 1, and an anode side electrode plate 3 arranged on the other side, and provided with a cathode side metal plate 4 arranged on a surface of the cathode side electrode plate 2 and an anode side metal plate 5 arranged on a surface of the anode side electrode plate 3, and peripheral fringes 4a, 5a of the metal plates 4, 5 of the both sides are sealed by calking in a state of interposing a peripheral fringe 1a of the solid polyelectrolyte 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
