PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce working processes when separating a lap core and a coil. SOLUTION: In the transformer body, belt shape steel plates are wound in a square and their both ends thereof are butted, and are overlapped inside and outside to form a lap core which is square on the whole, together with right and left poles and front and rear yokes; tubular coils are attached to poles; the regions where the steel plates are butted are centralized to one yoke; the regions where the steel plates are butted are horizontally displaced between the inside and outside steel plates; and one sheet of steel plate is bonded such that it is sandwiched by inside and outside steel plates. The method of disassembling the transformer body separates a lap core and a coil in a PCB filled lap core transformer body, wherein a wedge is lowered by an electric power from above the transformer body, which is placed on a working table; the wedge is press-fitted between the right and left coils to horizontally separate bonded region of the steel plates in one yoke; and the wedge is relatively moved by electric power towards the other yoke away from the stoppers which support the right and left coils, thus pulling the lap core out from the coils.
