PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safely and stably usable steam generator by differing a steam passage from a dew drop passage, thereby preventing scattering of high-temperature dew drops with steam. SOLUTION: This steam generator comprises a steam oven storing a liquid and heating the liquid to generate steam; a steam box having a sensor detecting dew drops; and a transfer tube guiding the steam generated in the steam oven to the steam box. In this generator, a steam pipe smaller in diameter than the transfer tube is provided within the transfer tube, so that the steam is guided through the steam pipe from a steam inlet port formed in the steam pipe.
