PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a decompression type heat exchanger and a heating control method in the decompression type heat exchanger capable of reducing energy consumption in heating a heat medium, reducing the generation of noise in accompany with the heating of the heat medium, and quickly and continuously supplying a heated heat exchanged object in accordance with necessity. SOLUTION: In this decompression type heat exchanger comprising a tank for storing liquid heat medium, a heating device for heating the heat medium, and a heat exchanging part mounted in a decompression space formed in the tank and allowing the heat exchanged object to exchange the heat, the heating device comprises a first heater for heating the heat medium of an upper area including a liquid level, and a second heater for heating the heat medium of a lower area with respect to a convection area of the first heater, and the second heater is set to start heating the heat medium of the lower area in such a state that a temperature of the heat medium reaches a specific temperature as a result of heating the heat medium by the first heater.
