PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface protection film which, when applied to plastic products and the like as a surface protection film, lessens the soiling of an article to be protected and can prevent the article to be protected that is not provided with antistatic property from taking static charge when the surface protection film is removed. SOLUTION: In the adhesive composition containing a (meth)acrylic polymer mainly composed of a (meth)acrylic monomer having a 6-14C alkyl group, a polyether polyol compound, and an alkali metal salt, the acid number of the above (meth)acrylic polymer is≤1.0 and the alkali metal is contained in an amount of <0.1 pt.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. of the (meth)acrylic polymer.
