PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool setup information preparation device capable of easily preparing adequate tool setup information with respect to information on tools required for working a component, and preventing a tool supporter not intended by a worker from being set at a tool address as much as possible. SOLUTION: The tool setup information preparation device 1 is applied to a plate working machine 2 having a tool supporter 4 capable of supporting a plurality of tools 3, and prepares tool setup information OF in which the tools 3 required for working the component are set at tool addresses T of the tool supporter 4. The tool setup information preparation device 1 has a tool set address registration means 11 and a tool setup information preparation means 12. The tool set address registration means 11 registers a plurality of sets of reference setup information RF in which the tools 3 desired to be set to several tool addresses T of the tool supporter 4 are registered with the priority. The tool setup information preparation means 12 prepares tool setup information OF in which the tools 3 are set at the tool addresses T from information F1 on the tools 3 required for working the components according to reference setup information RF registered in the tool set address registration means 11 and the priority thereof.
