The device for the eliminating or reducing of biofilm build-up in hoses or pipes (2) through which flows water has means which completely or partially contacts the wall of the hose or pipe and which executes a mechanical movement conditioned through the pressure of the fluid and therefore removes the biofilm or counteracts its formation. The mechanical movement is reciprocating movement executed by a piston (3) which first allows the transmission of fluid if it has covered a distance.
