The method for emptying bulk materials from big bags (11) comprises positioning them with the mouth downwards over an inlet pipe (1). Tubular film (3) is fitted over the pipe and its upper end is held in a funnel shape by a fastener. The upper end of the film is then clamped to the bag outlet and the fasteners (3.1, 11.1) on both are unfastened. After the bag has been emptied and removed, fresh tubular film is pulled up and soiled film cut off and removed.
