<p>Centralization of component characteristic codes is achieved in a vehicle production system for producing a diesel engine unit (U) by providing each of injectors (21 - 24), a common rail (3) and a high-pressure pump (4) with a characteristic code sheet (21a - 24a, 31a, 4a - 8a) representing an actual characteristic and, at an appropriate stage during or after assembly of the diesel engine unit (U), reading the data of the codes of the characteristic code sheets (21a - 24a, 31a, 4a - 8a), creating separate code sheets (S1 - S4) in accordance with the read data, and attaching them to a prescribed portion of the surface of a diesel engine main unit (1). <IMAGE></p> |
