Interpolation and/or extrapolation of multi-component seismic streamer recordings

Seismic data gathered by at least one multi-component seismic streamer is interpolated and/or extrapolated to derive pressure data at locations away from the streamer location. The data processing includes deriving particle velocity data from the gathered pressure data, and using that particle velocity data to replace higher derivatives of pressure data in a Taylor expansion series during the interpolation and/or extrapolation.
