The present invention relates to a process for producing a hollow plastic preform (1) suitable for blow molding a plastic container (6) comprising a visible designed pattern (7) on its surface, and to a plastic container (6) produced thereof. The process of the present invention allows achieving different aesthetics effects on the finished container and may additionally impart those containers with anti-slippery properties and/or pleasant tactile sensation.
