The turbo-supercharger (1) has a shaft (2) in a turbine housing (6) connecting a turbine wheel (3) to a compressor wheel (4), surrounded by the bearing housing (5) containing bearings for the shaft. Thermal insulation is provided for the shaft between the turbine wheel and the bearing. The thermal conductivity of this material is lower than that of the adjacent regions of the shaft.
