The invention relates to a free engine clutch comprising clamping bodies (5) which are arranged one after the other in the direction of the periphery, between a cylindrical inner ring (1) and a concentric outer ring (2). Said clamping bodies are guided in the pockets (6) of a cage (9) and are impinged upon by a strip spring (4) which is disposed in a radial manner in relation to the cage (9) and which is provided with spring tongues (7). A defining wall (8) is respectively formed inside one of the pockets (6) in order to receive a clamping body (5), said wall enabling the clamping body (5) to be placed on the cage (9). According to the invention, the radial area of the cage (9) comprising the defining wall (8) is reinforced (10) by an individual piece which is formed on the outer surface of the cage.
