Reproduction data is supplied to a decoder and the cryptograph is decrypted. A reproduction condition label detecting section detects a reproduction condition label, and a decompressor decodes compressed codes. A watermark detecting section checks if the reproduction condition label has been falsified. A listening right counter alters the listening right data each time the reproduction data is decoded. The listening right data transmitted from a prepaid data charger through an antenna and a communication module is stored in a memory section. The communication module incorporates an encrypting/decrypting module. A watermark adding section adds a watermark to the data to be outputted, and a D/A converter converts the data to an analog output and outputs it to the outside.
