FIELD: electrical engineering; switching devices for single-phase and multiphase dc and ac circuits. ^ SUBSTANCE: proposed device has insulating case closed on one end with fixed contact electrode. Hollow bore provided on other end of case accommodates movable contact electrode made of ferromagnetic material and shaped to follow configuration of bore section. When motionless, movable contact electrode rests on insulating plate. Supporting end of movable contact electrode mounts throw-on contact member secured thereon by means of flexible conductor. Stack of conducting disks is placed in contact-to-contact clearance. Ferromagnetic arresting device is attached to movable contact electrode. All electrodes are coated with conducting layer.
