The module (10) has hooks (24) for temporarily mounting a support cross piece (16) on a body shell (12) of a motor vehicle (14) in an intermediate position. The intermediate position is shifted with respect to a transversal fixation position of the cross piece. The cross piece extends in a transversal plane which is inclined towards front with respect to a transversal vertical plane, when in the intermediate position.
