PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machine tool capable of accurately cutting a workpiece while miniaturizing a device. SOLUTION: This machine tool comprises a spindle housing 31 formed in rectangular cylinder shape; guide parts 41 provided at four nearly angular parts of the spindle housing 31 to support the spindle housing 31 movably almost in a vertical direction; a spindle 2 rotatably provided in the spindle housing 31 to grip the workpiece 3; and a tool 4 on which the workpiece 3 gripped by the spindle 2 abuts while rotating, to cut the workpiece 3.
