摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an array waveguide grating in which correction of the central wavelength of each waveguide of the array waveguide grating is precisely conducted, an array waveguide grating module, a wavelength correcting method of the array waveguide grating module and an optical communication device and an optical communication system using the array waveguide grating. <P>SOLUTION: An array waveguide grating 101 consists of one or a plurality of input waveguides 103, a plurality of output waveguides 104, one or a plurality of wavelength correction output waveguides 105 which are arranged adjacent to the output waveguides 104, channel waveguide arrays 107, an input side slab waveguide 108 and an output side slab waveguide 109. The connecting portions of the wavelength correction output waveguides 105 to the output side slab waveguide 109 are tapered off and the spectrum of emitted light beams becomes steep and correction of the wavelengths can easily be performed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
