PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a water quality monitoring device by using a simple structure for monitoring water quality with high reliability irrespective of the kind of a contaminated poisonous substance or the kind, etc. of utilized fishes. SOLUTION: First and second water level detection means 34 and 90 are provided severally in first and second water tank bodies 16 and 18 adapted for breeding fish 54, while a water outlet 52 and a water inlet 62 provided in bottom surfaces of the respective water tanks are connected in series to each other by a joining conduit 60.
