PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a practical metal melting/tapping device capable of easily and surely melting a solidified shell on a tapping nozzle connected with a bottom part of a levitation melting furnace, and promoting smooth melting and tapping of metal. SOLUTION: In this metal melting/tapping device comprising the levitation melting furnace and the tapping nozzle constituted similarly as the levitation melting furnace and connected with the bottom part of the levitation melting furnace, floating and melting the metal in the levitation melting furnace and tapping the molten metal from the tapping nozzle, a nozzle main body of the tapping nozzle is formed into the approximate funnel-shape as a whole by an inverted conical part and a nozzle part connected therewith, and a heat generating/heat insulating body made out of electrically conductive substance is applied to an inner surface of an end part connected with at least the nozzle part, of the inverted conical part in a state of having a clearance with respect to the inner surface.
