PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exterior panel mounting structure for an incinerator, for improving the heat storing/retaining property of the incinerator while improving the appearance and lowering the temperature of the outer face. SOLUTION: An incinerator body 2 is formed in an approximately rectangular solid for storing and retaining heat, in which a dry distillation incinerating chamber 14 for dry distilling and incinerating combustible wastes, a gas circuit 15 in which dry distilled gas and combustion gas generated in the dry distillation incinerating chamber are circulated, and a gas flue 16 for exhausting exhaust gas in the gas circuit to the atmospheric air are integrally formed with a fire resistant member. The exterior panel mounting structure covers almost all surfaces of outer walls 2a-2e including the peripheral wall and the upper wall of the incinerator body 2. It comprises an heat resistant outer plate 31 mounted on the outer wall of the incinerator body, a heat insulating member 32 mounted on the outer plate for insulating the heat of the incinerator body excluding its bottom face, and an exterior panel 40 mounted on the outside of the heat insulating member via an air layer g which cuts off heat transfer.
