PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of improving the fatigue characteristics of a crank shaft by strengthening a fillet portion, and to provide the crank shaft. SOLUTION: Supersonic blowing treatment is given to the crank shaft on condition that a supersonic vibrator has a frequency of 10-60kHz, a supersonic output of 500-5000W and a thrust of 10-400N.
