The fitting is positioned between a safe in a cabinet body locking a vertical closing position and an open position upward adjustable with a setting lever. In the operation position an axle is articulated with a side panel of the cabinet body and on the other hand by a second placing axle connected with the flap. The first placing axle is turned to a setting lever to the first placing axle, the movement behavior of the flap affects a cam such that a thrust piece is held by a spring mechanism against the cam, so that the thrust piece has a drag moment dependent on the swiveling position of the setting lever exercised on the setting lever. The thrust piece (18) is arranged around a drag axis (11) and a tiltable thrust piece carrier (20) is arranged with distance to the thrust piece. A spring mechanism (19) works against the thrust piece carrier. The spring mechanism is effective at the thrust piece carrier, in the direction of the drag axis (21) to and away from this is adjustable.
