A COLLECTOR FOR MILK DOWNFLOW

A collector for milk downflow in a milking unit for dairy female cattle has a cup of the milk collector (1) of a tubular funnel-like conformation extended between an inlet section (2) and an outlet section (3), said inlet section being closed by a cover (7), said outlet section being collected with a duct for evacuation of said milk from said collector. At least one teat (12) is connected with said cover and is adapted to be fitted on the nipple of one animal to be milked to convey the milk to said collector. The teat is operatively connected with suction means to create the vacuum in the teat and suck the milk. The collector cup has a curvilinear longitudinal extension and has a side wall with a curvilinear extension following a varying profile along the perimeter direction, the profile of maximum length (5) and minimum length (6) determined by the intersection of the collector with the longitudinal plane (L-L) thereof approximating a substantially parabolic profile.
