<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a booster antenna for an RFID tag that can increase the communication distance between a reader and the RFID tag. <P>SOLUTION: On a nearly center axis in a space wherein an antenna of the reader and an antenna of the RFID tag are opposed to each other, the booster antenna tuned to a carrier frequency that the RFID tag system uses is arranged in front of the RFID tag opposite the antenna of the reader. Alternatively, on the nearly center axis in the space wherein the antenna of the reader and the antenna of the RFID tag are opposed to each other, the booster antenna tuned to the carrier frequency that the RFID tag system uses is arranged in front of the RFID tag on an almost same surface opposite the antenna of the reader. The booster antenna is composed of a square type or round type loop antenna etc., larger than the antenna of the RF ID tag and a tuning capacitor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
