PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coil component improved in impedance, wherein the winding parts and the conductors are protected. SOLUTION: In a magnetic core 2, an extension amount of first extending parts 4G of brim parts 4 and 4 arranged at both ends of a winding part 5 is smaller than that of a second extension part 4H. The extension amount of the first extension parts 4G is about two to four times the diameters of conductors 6A and 6B. The lower face 3B of a plate core 3 is bonded to top faces 4A of the brim parts 4 and 4 by resin. The conductors 6A and 6B and winding pull-out parts to which the conductors 6A and 6B are pulled out are arranged in a space surrounded by the lower face 3B, an upper face 5A and sides 4C-1. The space is filled with resin. Thus, a resin layer 8 serving as a protection layer with respect to the conductors 6A and 6B is formed. Since the extension amount of the first extension parts 4G is small, magnetic path length the coil component 1 as a whole becomes short, and impedance is improved. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
