PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image forming apparatus such as a printer, a facsimile and a copying machine for forming an image by using electrophotographic technology, where a problem that irregularity is easily caused in electric field at a transfer part is solved, consequently, which forms an excellent image free from transfer irregularity. SOLUTION: In the image forming apparatus, an intermediate transfer body 20 has a conductive layer 21, a resistance layer 22 formed on the conductive layer, and an electrode part 23 exposed to the surface of the end of the intermediate transfer body and feeding transfer voltage to the conductive layer, and a feed member feeding power while coming into contact with the electrode part is constituted of an elastic roller 37 composed of closed-cell foam having conductivity. The intermediate transfer body is constituted of a seam belt, and also constituted so that the contact width N of the elastic roller with the electrode part is larger than the width W of the discontinuous part of the electrode part in the seam part.
