PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine the full capacity in a battery gas gage, as to the battery gas gage for electronic equipment. SOLUTION: In this determination of the full capacity in the battery gas gage, an instantaneous open-circuit voltage level is measured during an open-circuit time interval about a specified battery cell, in an operation, and the measurement is correlated with an estimated value. The estimated value is correlated with a related relative condition of a charge level. Finally, the full capacity is calculated based on the related relative condition of the charge level.
