<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording ink which can always stably record a highly fast and high-quality image over a long period of time. <P>SOLUTION: The ink is an ink essentially consisting of a resin, a colorant, a nonionic surfactant, a water-soluble organic solvent, and water, wherein the resin comprises a block copolymer essentially consisting of at least one hydrophobic block and at least one hydrophilic block, each block comprising a vinyl ether, and the colorant is a self-dispersible pigment having anionic hydrophilic groups on the surface.
