<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor for carrying out magnification and reduction and composite processing of two images. <P>SOLUTION: The image processor magnifies / reduces a back image at a predetermined magnification / reduction rate, magnifies / reduces a front image at a predetermined magnification / reduction rate and thereafter overlaps the front image on the back image and displays the overlapped image, and includes: an input image storage section, an image attribute storage section, an internal work memory, an output image storage section, a processing block unit calculation section; and an image processing section. The processing block unit calculation section dynamically determines a processing block unit on the basis of a capacity and a magnification / reduction rate of the internal work memory, a display image position, a display image size, and a composite processing image data amount. The image processing section image data of the front image and the back image are entered on the basis of the processing block unit, and uses the internal work memory to carry out composite processing in the unit of processing blocks.
