PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for changing dies in a draw-bending machine, which apparatus and method can remarkably reduce the time necessary for changing a die mounted to a ram and a die stored in a drum. SOLUTION: The draw-bending machine 30 can carry out the draw-bending in a state that a workpiece W is fixed by being clamped by means of upper plate clamps 33 and a lower plate clamp 34, and can mount a center die 33A to the ram 32, the center die 33A being a member among the upper plate clamps 33 and having the length different from that of other members. The die changing apparatus 1 has a changing arm 10 which can vertically, longitudinally, and swivelingly move between the side of the ram 32 and the side of drum 22 storing a plurality of the center dies 33A having different lengths, and can simultaneously clamp/unclamp the center dies 33A on the ram 32 side and the drum 22 side, and can simultaneously reverse.
