It is possible to reduce the time from the start of reception operation to the output of video, audio, etc. which has been transmitted. There is provided an OFDM reception device for receiving an OFDM signal formed by a plurality of carriers. The OFDM reception device includes: a high-speed Fourier transform unit for converting the OFDM signal of the time region received into an OFDM signal of the frequency region; an equalizer for subjecting the OFDM signal of the frequency region to a waveform equalization and outputting the OFDM signal after the waveform equalization; and a modulation method estimation method for estimating the modulation method of these carriers according to the signal point of the carriers constituting the OFDM signal after the waveform equalization and outputting the obtained estimation result. The OFDM reception device performs processing to obtain transmitted information on the received OFDM signal according to the estimation result.
