PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical measuring instrument capable of measuring optical characteristics such as a refractive index or the like with high sensitivity. SOLUTION: The optical measuring instrument is equipped with a sensor part 20 provided with a sensing region 24 of an object S to be measured so constituted that the side surface 22s of at least a part other than first and second end surfaces 25 and 26 of a light waveguide 22 is arranged so as to come into contact with a space where the object S to be measured is present, a light source 31 for emitting incident light for acquiring the transmitted spectrum or reflected spectrum of the light waveguide 22 to the first end surface 25 and a photodetector 41 for detecting the transmitted light emitted from the second end surface 26 as the emitted light from the light waveguide 22. A light resonator wherein partial transmitting and reflecting films 25a and 26a are respectively formed to the first and second end surfaces 25 and 26 is provided to the light waveguide 22 and, on the basis of the transmitted spectrum derived by the emitted light from the second end surface 26 when the incident light entering the inside of the light waveguide 22 is emitted by the multiple reflection due to the light resonator, the data related to the object to be measured is measured.
