PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the before or after use of a granular urine-treating material for an animal to be appropriately discriminated by enabling the urine-treating material to be undyed before urination and to be dyed after the urination by the urine to thereby properly color a urine-absorbing part. SOLUTION: The granular urine-treating material for the animal contains powder 4 of a water-soluble dye in a water-absorbing particulate body 1 granulated by compression molding without adding water, and is constituted so that the powder 4 of the water-soluble dye may be dissolved in the urine when the urine of the animal penetrates into the water-absorbing particulate body 1, and the particulate body 1 may be dyed.
