REDUCED-DIAMETER-HOLDING STENT WITH PROTECTED DISTAL END AND SHEATH, AND METHOD OF PROTECTING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reduced-diameter-holding stent capable of being inserted into a place inside a living body where a tubular organ is bent without injuring the wall of the inner lumen of the tubular organ, or a sheath or the like in which the stent is stored.

SOLUTION: The distal end of the reduced-diameter-holding stent is protected by a bag-shaped tube with an opening on the proximal end side. The bag-shaped tube is opened on the proximal end side and is bag-shaped on the distal end side. The bag-shaped tube is disposed in the state of being inserted into the stent held in the reduced-diameter state, and the distal end side of the bag-shaped tube projecting from the distal end of the stent is disposed to cover the distal end of the stent.
