<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outboard motor capable of securing rigidity and strength required for bending moment without increasing weight of parts and increasing the size of the surrounding of a steering shaft. <P>SOLUTION: A pivot shaft part 9b of a steering bracket 9 is inserted into a pivot tube part 50 formed into a cylindrical shape of a swivel bracket 7. Upper end and lower end of the pivot shaft part 9b are supported by the pivot tube part 50 by interposing upper and lower bearing members 70 and 71.
