PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a data communication processing considering security. SOLUTION: A patch application control part 11A reports a retrieval request of the latest patch data to another computer 1B on LAN just after starting OS while closing ports other than a response port. Thereafter, on receipt from a response including the load state of a transmitting source from the computer, the patch application control part 11A merges the response, determines a download destination for data, and closes the ports other than a data receiving port to request a download of patch data to the computer 1B. A patch distribution control part 12B of the computer 1B transmits, according to this request, the corresponding patch data to a computer 1A.
