PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector which permits easy extraction of a terminal fixture therefrom, and prevents entry of unwanted foreign materials thereto. SOLUTION: A terminal fixture 20 is held in a cavity 11 in a connector housing 10, in a state of a double engaging mechanism preventing the fixture 20 being coming off from the cavity 11. For the removal of the fixture 20 from the cavity 11, the evacuation of a retainer 40 from an engaging position in the rear direction makes a terminal engaging protrusion 43 retract to a position which cannot inhibit movement of the fixture 20 to open a tool inserting port 17. By inserting a tool 50 to the port 17 and felling a lance 24 to remove the engagement with a collision stop surface 18 and pulling an electric wire 30, the fixture 20 can be drawn out easily.
