PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a top emission type organic EL element having excellent luminescence characteristics by improvement of injection efficiency of an electron from a negative electrode forming a transparent electrode. SOLUTION: This organic EL element has an indium oxide transparent conductive film having a concentration gradient in which hydrogen concentration and tin concentration decrease as separating from an organic layer.
