PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prolong service life of a reduction gear equipped with a floating seal. SOLUTION: A sediment intrusion preventing device equipped with a floating seal 22 for preventing intrusion of sediments thereinside from a gap between one casing 3 to be rotated and the other casing 1 to be fixed, is equipped with a first labyrinth seal 26 provided to an opposing part between one casing 3 and the other casing 1, and with a clearance 30 to form a protective wall by sediments which is provided to an opposing part between one casing 3 and the other casing 1 on the outside of the first labyrinth seal 26.
