PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve for high temperature ideal for high temperature fluid with which high temperature fluid can be surely shut off at closing. SOLUTION: In a valve for high temperature, a valve element 14 moves in the direction of a shaft center 22 of a valve rod 13 at opening/closing to abut on and separate from a valve seat 12. The valve seat 12 is formed conically titling. The valve element 14 is formed in a hemispherical surface. The valve is equipped with an air cylinder which comes into line contact with the entire circumference of the tilting surface of the valve seat 12 at closing so as to open and close the valve element 14. Seal parts 12a, 14a made of heat resistant abrasion resistant material are formed in the hemispherical surface of the valve element 14 and the tilting surface of the valve seat 12. The movement in the direction of the shaft center 22 of the valve element 14 caused by thermal expansion at closing is absorbed by the air cylinder. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
