PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain excellent pump performance over a long period by improving abrasion resistance of a pump housing and a pump impeller in an electric fuel pump unit. SOLUTION: This electric fuel pump device stores the pump impeller 10 rotatingly driven by a rotor shaft 6a of an electric motor 2 in a pump room 8 in this pump housing 7 by joining the pump housing 7 of a fuel pump 3 to one end part of a motor housing 4 of the electric motor 2. A diamond-like carbon coating film 33 having high hardness and a low friction coefficient is formed in at least one of both opposed surfaces of the pump housing 7 made of an Al alloy and the pump impeller 10 made of a reinforced fiber containing synthetic resin.
